campus stories

i know i said that i'll blog everyday.
so, i'm TRYING nw.
haha.

since my sch has got wireless, i can save up on my 'Dial-Up'.
wahahaha.
super cheap skate.
*did i ever mention that my sch is fully air-coned? well, almost. except for the canteen outside. and the coolnest thing is that the library has 3 storeys. it has a cafe (the cafe sells yummy cheese cake *yum yum*) AND there are THREE POOL TABLES beside the cafe!*
*oreo cheese cake :D sinful indulge*
orientation had past, which is from 11th to 13th april.
the first day, we had taste of hw a typical day is like, solving problem, presentation and meetings.
really had a taste cuz we ran THE WHOLE THING!!
the teacher didnt get us to intro ourselves.
unlike the other classes.
i heard that they played games.
we had to find out their names ourselves.
what an orientation.
i quite like my team.
i think after 3 years, we will all get used to all the Not-Smilling-To-The-Com thing.
haha.
cuz we added each other in msn, in a conversation and we started chatting.
it feels quite retarded talking to the person in front of you thru msn.
haha.
but i think i'm getting used to it.

sidetrack: today someone added EVERYONE in the class into a conversation.
some one started nudging and we took turns to nudge.
we giggled and they shouted stop shaking la.
haha.
daryl was damn funny.
he told the teacher that the laptop is shaking.
haha.
ytd i caught han wei smilling to his lappy, today i caught shah!
haha.
it looks pretty spastic :P
*a snap shot of a coversation with lots of ppl, should have taken down the nudging part*
and 1 of my classmate know darrell! *as in QUEK*
she knows his sis so she knows him.
the coolest thing of all is that she's a christian too!!
woo~!
she was the one who told me abt the crusade thing.

2nd and 3rd day of orientation, we got to know ppl from our course.
i forgot to tell you guys the diff.
in RP, for the 1st year, 1st sem, you'll be in a class of 25, with ppl from different classes.
in 2nd sem, you'll be in another class with another 24 ppl of diff course. ( i think only my poly is doing that)
only until year 2, you'll be with ppl from your course.
but for our course, we hav 3 diff modules.
so, what i wanna say is that we're only gonna be in the same class after a year.
we may not be in the same classes somemore.
in conclusion, the 2 days orientation is a bit early.
but nevertheless, we all had fun ard each other.
running ard the sch, doing our grp cheer, mass dance and sch song.
what i can say is that my team - team 2 in the course is really united.
cuz initial some of then dun wanna come on the 3rd day, but we manage to persuade them to come.
on the third day, we met up before going to the martial arts room - meeting place.
the leaders were super impressed.

the highlight of the non-residential orientation was 'Jam and Hop' on the last night.
we did the mascot and stuff. *our 3 people mascot - radio (it represents us) its made up of recycled material. totally cool!*
we had to perform it in front of everyone.
the thing is that we had very little ppl.
our schools can take up the WHOLE place, but our course only takes up the pathetic stage.
they hav ard 200+ ppl but we only hav 40+ ppl.
that's the only disadvantage.
but overall we did win for a game.
we might be smal but we're good ok?
the coolness is that we hav lots of mix blood in our team.
like nadia is chinese mix malay, najib is, java mix japan, mix chinese mix malay, sheena is chinese mix indian and heard that dawn is mix eurasian.
haha.
*team two with the student leaders :) (lester looked like my pri sch crush la!)*

then on sunday, we got the hui xun (i dunno hw to use the chinese function yet :D) [the 3 month thing mag la ]
i saw my testimonial and est mum's write up abt the vietnam trip.
the horrible thing of the day was that i fell asleep during 2nd service.
i dunno what made me so tired.
i was told that crosby fell asleep too.
haha.
after the 2nd service buffet, i went to play pool with yeechuan, jeannie, romei, zhiyang, crosby, my brother and i.
zhiyang was pretty pro.
haha.
i think i played arcade more than pool.
lol
and it was pretty saddening.
cuz i haven been talking those girls for quite some time.
they are having they o's and i'm so occupied by crosby and my sch stuff.
sigh.
but nvm, we still hav sats and sundays.
they are gonna do the rehearsal on sat for mother's day.
and its the revival of the DRAMA QUEEN!
haha.
i acted in the anshao's welcome party 2 years ago too.
lol
hope to catch up with them on sat.
sigh, nw that crosby hav to mug for mid-years, we spent less time tgt.
i miss him a lot la.
we're not gonna see each other until sat :(
but we took some retarded pics on sunday.
check it out on my friendster.

i've started sch and today is the third day.
and i'm stil trying to adapt to the timing cuz i need to wake up super early and travel all the way to woodlands.
ytd was a really suay day.
early in the morning, i stepped on DOG POO! *curses*
it spoilt my whole day.
and the module for that day was crappy.
it was SCIENCE.
a hated subject by me.
its abt blood and its chim-mi-yo-logy..
it is brain cracking and it bored me out.

ok, a typical day is like this >

8:30 - 9:30 => meeting 1 ( 1 hr )
9:30 - 10:30 => break out (1 hr )
10:30 - 11:30 => meeting 2 ( 1 hr )
11:30 - 2 => break out 2 (2 and a half hrs )
2 - 4 => meeting 3 - presentation ( 2 hrs )
it may sound super slack but its not lor.
during the breakout you hav to come up with your presentation and stuff.
but overall its quite alright la.
its super diff from sec sch.
in poly, you hav a grace period of 15mins for being late (or maybe its only for mine).
then you get to msn in class and the teacher doesnt mind.
and you can eat in class during lesson.
which is smt i SO like.
haha.
you get to work with diff ppl.
then the homework is pretty easy.
you can finish it off in 1/2hr, including the quiz.
there'll be quiz everyday and you're suppose to finish it in half and hour.
then you'll need to do evaluation for your friends and for yourself.
Rule number 1 in RP: NO BACKSTABBING OF FRIENDS.
so, if you dun like the person, DO NOT mix your personal affairs into the evaluation.
of cuz the facillitators (this is what we call the lecturers in RP) take that into consideration for grading.
i hope that i'll do well in poly.

i've been going to sch and home with jeannie for the past few days then i found out a lot of things abt her.
i'm sure she doesnt want me to reaveal it cuz its super embarrassing.
but its damn funny for me to find out.

i think that should all i wanna say.
julia and rebecca, sat shall be the catching up day! :)

shall be blogging soon in the next few days.

current status: alone in the library, waiting for jeannie with 3 girls cam-whoring with the laptop cam in front of me.
